Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 00:00

RETFORD's highly popular Jam tribute band Setting Sons are rehearsing some new material for their next town gig.

The group will be performing at the Elms Hotel on London Road, Retford on Saturday, November 29 rounding off a busy year in which they have played all over the country,

Appearances include three festivals, one of them supporting Rick Astley, the Fake festivals and the Yorkshire Rock festival with rock tribute acts.

They have also played some gigs with other tribute acts of the same genre such as a Clash tribute and Oasis which proved very popular and is something that the group is hoping to bring to Retford next year - venue permitting.

Bookings have already poured in for next year too and the group have some more festivals lined up as well as an appearance at Butlins and corporate venues.

"It looks like it is going to be a busy year as we have more gigs booked than we ever have," said band member Scott Liversidge.

"For the Elms, we are rehearsing some new material - all Jam of course."
