Bassetlaw Council has received another 20 tonnes of salt after stocks ran out on Monday.
Director of community services Mark Ladyman said the new supply meant the council would be able to grit their properties, aided by milder weather conditions.
"Notts County Council kindly delivered us 20 tonnes of rock salt yesterday and as a result we have been able to let A1 Housing grit around some of their sheltered housing complexes," he said.
"Although the snow has now started to thaw, if the temperatures start to fall again we will grit our car parks and public buildings as and when necessary."
Responsibility for gritting roads, footpaths and public highways lies with Notts County Council.
