Clumber Park second most popular walk in Britain

Tuesday, February 02, 2010, 17:50

CLUMBER Park is the National Trust's second most popular walking spot in Britain, web figures show.

A guide for the park's circular walking route was downloaded from the Trust's website 8,219 times last year.

The only Trust walk in the country to gather more downloads was the six-mile Bath Skyline Walk.

Visitor services manager Trevor Pressley put Clumber's popularity down to family appeal and a range of views to take in.

"This is a great walk for families – the paths are flat and wide, with good surfaces," he said.
