Electricity off hours

OVER 100 homes around Retford were without electricity for more than five hours this week.

Electricity provider Central Networks confirmed the outage happened between 8.15pm and 2.30am on Tuesday.

The reason for the power cut was a fault in the overhead power lines in Little Gringley.

The five-hour delay in getting the power back on was put down to engineers having to order two new insulators which had blown and isolating the fault area.
