Nathan Hayes, 17, of Windsor Road, has been made the subject of an antisocial behaviour order (Asbo) following two years of related offences.
Under the terms of the Asbo, Hayes is forbidden from entering the Retford Youth Centre and surrounding area, as well as the town's branch of Asda and its customer car park.
Hallcroft beat manager PC Steve Meredith said the Asbo was a last-ditch attempt to control Hayes' behaviour after other avenues had been exhausted and warned others could find themselves in a similar position.
He said: "We actively sought an Asbo in this instance only after it became clear that other means of dealing with the issue had not altered this individual's behaviour.
"We always work closely with the youth offending team and Bassetlaw District Council's antisocial behaviour team before embarking on this route.
"Ordinarily, we begin with discussions with parents and, if necessary, draw up of an acceptable behaviour contract, which is a voluntary arrangement.
"If these routes have no discernible lasting effect, we will ask magistrates to make an order."
"We are targeting others who commit acts of antisocial behaviour in Hallcroft and will take what action we deem necessary to ensure they improve or curb their behaviour."
The order, which expires on June 15, 2012, restricts him from engaging in behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person, or inciting others to do so, anywhere in England.
